It started the education in 2009-2010 education year within the scope of Rize University Rize Vocational high school. In 2012, the name of the school was changed as Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Social Sciences Vocational High School and it continues its education as a foreign trade department, foreign trade program. In 2011-2012 education year, it has 60 students in daytime education and 60 students in evening education.

The graduate who fulfill all the necessities of the program gets associate degree certificate of foreign trade department

The legitimatizing of the previous formal education about vertical and horizantal transfer and transfer inside the same university are defined according to the REGULATIONS ABOUT TRANSFER BETWEEN THE ASSOCIATE DEGREE AND UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE OF UNIVERSITIES, DOUBLE MAJOR, SUB-BRANCH AND PRINCIPALS OF CREDIT TRANSFER AMONG INSTITUTIONS. But the lessons such as English and German have an exemption exam at the helm of the each term and if the students are succesfull in this exam, they are exempted from these lessons.

In order to be graduated from this program, the students should be succesfull in all the lessons (totaly 120 AKTS) and should have a graduation average of at least 2.00 from 4.00 maximum average.

With the application of open admission all vocational school graduates of this area and with exam system all middle school graduates can choose this department.

If their education is taken into consideration, the graduates find place in business life by being hardworking and challenger. The graduate students work in managements according to their field of interests. In recent years, they are generally employed in undersecretariat of customs, free zones, foreign trade managements and customs. with KPSS mark, they can find job in public institutions as a civil servant. If they finish a graduate program related to their area, they can be public account and financial advisor candidate and they have the right of entering all the specialization exams of their department.

The graduate students of this program can go to the banking departmant, banking and finance department, banking and financing department, labour economics and industrial relations, management department, business knowledge management, managements informatics, management education, management-economy, logistic management, medical institution management, capital market, insurance, insurance and risk management, international financing, international management, international trade, international trade and financing, international trade and management, administration- informatic systems if they pass the DGS exam. They also can go to faculty of open university without entering DGS so they can be graduate students.

we have 8 teaching assistants about our department and 5 lecturers and 6 offsite teaching assistants. Our school has 18 classrooms, 2 computer labs with 40 computers, library with internet connection, 2 practice hall, a conference hall with 120 people capacity, dining hall, cafeteria, volleyball and basketball fields.
