HistoryCrop and Animal Production Department at Rize University Pazar Vocational School was founded in 2008. Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program and the first beekeeping programs in 2009, and in 2010 the Organic Agriculture Program, Horticultural Program, students have been admitted since 2011. Each year, 70 students are accepted at the Crop and Animal Production Department, Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, where the Pazar Vocational School is one of three sections, giving practicalteaching and theory for two years. Lessons are given in Turkish. Crop and Animal Production Division of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Organic Farming, Horticultural and Beekeeping Programs are available. There were a total of 104 students by 2012 in Section 1, associate professors, assistant professors, and 1 instructor. The first Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program in 2011, had 27 graduates. The Beekeeping Programs section goes from strength to strength each year.
Qualification AwardedFulfilling all the requirements of Schedule 40 business days of successful completion of the internship program and the graduates "Agricultural Technician" will receive the degree of a two year degree.

Organic Farming
Traditional agriculture production was the only way for many years, but with excessive use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers in agriculture, the soil has become denatured and in order to give future generations the opportunity to produce healthy produce a return to organic farming is underway. Organic agriculture is a sustainable ecosystem, safe food, healthy eating, and providing a healthy environment for animals and wildlife. Organic agriculture avoids synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, use of all synthetic preservatives and genetically modified organisms is prohibited. An organic farming programme raises the students awareness of alternatives methods and how to sustain them, so the graduates understand the principles of the Food, Agriculture and Livestock directives from provincial and district authorities of the Ministry of Agriculture, organic farms, organic markets, organic production inputs (seeds, organic fertilizer, organic agricultural fighting), private sector organizations to ensure, that the organic product certification organizations, small and medium-scale agro-based industries and SMEs . Also,to enable graduates to farm their own land.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With ExamplesOrganic Agriculture Program, those with associate degrees can be employed in various government and private sector organizations. Basic public sector organizations in the state that are relevant to organic farming teknikerliğiyle. Organic agriculture technicians, technicians have an important role in the sector titles. Which is related to the fields of today's aquaculture technicians, marketing, production, storage, feed production, can work in sectors such as organic animal husbandry. All of these emerging technologies in the field of organic production of agricultural technicians can be reflective of production fields. Fishery products quality and process control technicians, production, security, research, technical support, sales and marketing can work for technical or administrative staff position.

FacilitiesPazar Vocational School, has 11,000 m2 per cent school campus, 20,000 m2 per cent for a total of 31 000 m2 of garden with research and practice facilities. The School campus, education and training program is ongoing,with a main building (2,000 m²), a multi-purpose indoor hall (700 m²), dining hall building (1200 sqm) with total 3900 square meters of covered area built on an area of 11.000 m² with. In addition, the roof and exterior wall sheathing system has been renovated in the main educational building and architecture of the building are serviced by the appropriate local agencies, during the Spring semester of 2010-2011. Education and training is pursued with the use of whiteboard and projection equipment available in standard classrooms. Technology classrooms provided for both students and researchers. However, in the main building, with Plant Analysis, Soil, Pomology, Laboratories of Molecular Genetics and Artificial Insemination physical infrastructure has been completed and continues to supply the necessary facilities. Also on the campus are greenhouse, fruit and ornamental plants located Research and Application of 20,000 m² garden and a garden with a500 m2 polycarbonate fully automated greenhouse is located. There exists a garden, kiwi fruit, aromatic grape, apple varieties exhibited as well as different kinds of species in formal gardens. The School's strong academic staff, offers student a quality education in both theory and practice. Students can test their theoretical training with adequate facilities, and under supervision, in the gardens.
