General Description
History

Crop and Animal Production Department at Rize University Pazar Vocational School was founded in 2008. The Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program began in 2009, the first beekeeping programs and in 2010 the Organic Agriculture Program, Horticultural Program, students have been admitted in 2011. Each year, 70 students are accepted to the Crop and Animal Production Department, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, University Pazar Vocational School is one of three sections. Giving practical teaching and theory for two years. Lessons are given in Turkish. the Crop and Animal Production Division of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Organic Farming, Horticultural and Beekeeping Programs are available. In 2012 there are a total of 104 students,with 1 associate professors, assistant professors, and 1 instructor. The first 27 graduates from Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program in 201, and Beekeeping Programs have developed academically every year since its inception.

Qualification Awarded

Fulfilling all the requirements of Schedule 40 business days of successful completion of the internship program and the graduates "Agricultural Technician" will receive the degree of Associate Degree.

Facilities

Pazar Vocational School, 11,000 m2 per cent school campus, 20,000 m2 per cent for a total of 31 000 m2 of garden with research and practice facilities. School campus, education and training program is ongoing,at the main building (2,000 m²), a multi-purpose indoor hall (700 m²), dining hall building (1200 sqm) with total 3900 square meters of covered area built on an area of 11.000 m² with. In addition, the roof and exterior wall sheathing system has been renovated at the main educational building . The architecture of the building were serviced by the appropriate local agencies during the Spring semester of 2010-2011. Education and training is pursued, and whiteboard, with projection equipment is available in standard classrooms for students, and research. However, in the main building, Plant Analysis, Soil, Pomology, Laboratories of Molecular Genetics and Artificial Insemination physical infrastructure has been completed and continues to supply relevant studies. In the campus there are greenhouse, fruit and ornamental plants located with a Research and Application of 20,000 m² garden and a 500 m2 fully automated polycarbonate greenhouse is located. As well as the existing garden of, kiwi fruit, aromatic grape, apple varieties are exhibited along with different kinds of species in formal gardens. School's strong academic staff offers students a quality education in the field of theory and practice., and students can test their theoretical training under supervision.
